Nostalgia, surprises and historical flashbacks!
The exhibition takes us back to a Gothenburg of the 20th century, offering glimpses of places that have strongly influenced the city’s history.

Places carry stories, memories and dreams…
The exhibition showcases around 100 photographs from Avenyn, Delsjöområdet, Liseberg, Nordstan, Brunnsparken, and Slottsskogen. These images capture historical moments, memorable events, and the everyday life and leisure activities of Gothenburgers.
The exhibition highlights images from the Hjörnearkivet, which contains approximately ten million press photographs from the 20th century to the present day. This vast archive was donated from Göteborgs-Posten during the city’s 400th anniversary.
