The Library in the Museum of Gothenburg is a scientific special library with 100 000 volumes. You can find above all literature about the city of Gothenburg and the museum’s topics archeology, cultural history, theater and performing arts, industrial history, military history, school history and the East India Company. But there is also literature on a range of other cultural areas.

Accessing the Library Collections

Visitors are welcome to consult the library’s collections in our study room, Faktarummet. Please note, however, that due to an ongoing relocation of our collections to new storage facilities, our capacity to accommodate study room visits is currently limited.
