Plate money

A rectangular piece of plate money that weighs 14.5 kilos. The coin was made in 1659. It is 59.5 cm long and 42 cm wide with rounded corners. In the corners are round stamps with the name of King Karl X Gustav (Charles X Gustav) in Latin and a royal crown.

In the centre of the coin is a round stamp with the text “8 Daler Sölff Mynt”, that is, “8 daler silver coin”. The coin is made of copper but is worth 8 daler in silver.
