Silver daler with
the king’s crown

Round silver coin worth 1 daler. On the obverse side, you can see Erik XIV with a crown, armor, sword, and a royal orb. The crown depicted is the same royal crown still in use in Sweden today, the world’s oldest still in use. The king no longer wears the crown on his head, but it was present during the ceremonies when the current king, Carl XVI Gustaf, ascended to the throne and when he got married in the 1970s. Both the coin and the crown date back to 1561.
