A round copper coin. It is 1.6 cm in diameter and weighs 2 grams. On the front, there is the monogram of Oscar II, a decorated ‘O’ with a crown on top, and ‘II’ written in Roman numerals inside. Surrounding it is the king’s motto, “Brödrafolkens väl” (For the welfare of brotherly peoples). On the back, there is the text ‘1 öre’ and 1889, along with the three crowns from the national coat of arms.
