Desk pad
A foldable desk pad made of cardboard from the trading firm A. Magnus & Co, located at Magasinsgatan 24, Gothenburg. One side is externally covered with black oilcloth, while the other side is green-patterned and heavily worn. The insides are lined with green paper, featuring a pattern print of the company’s trademark NIG. NIG Inregistrerat Fabriksmärke, Sweden is the manufacturer of the desk pad. Attached internally on one side is a pink blotting paper, which is effective at absorbing ink. The desk pad measures 74 cm in length and 51.5 cm in width. It was acquired by the City Museum in November 1974 as a gift from the merchants Einar and Leif Henriques, Gothenburg.
